Aracely Rosales is known locally and nationally for her experience in cross cultural communications, extensive efforts to bring accessible information and education to diverse communities and empowering diverse consumers to live healthier lives.


Mrs. Rosales is the president of Plain Language and Culture, a division of Rosales Communications. She conducts presentations on cross-cultural communications and on how to develop plain language multilingual materials and program for national & international government agencies, foundations, community agencies, universities, health systems and health insurances. In addition, she trains multilingual medical interpreters, translators, health professionals and community health workers.

Mrs. Rosales' company provides many consultations services including but not limited to needs assessments, focus groups, program planning and technical assistance for institutional change related to cross-cultural health communications.

Additionally, she is the author, producer, reviewer, editor and design advisor for many bilingual easy-to-read and plain language publications that have been distributed nationally and internationally. She is a co-author of the Latino Diabetes Recommendations Report for CDC and has assisted many national organizations in providing multicultural services.

She has received, among many other commendations, the National Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership award, the Pennsylvania Governor's award "Against All Odds", the City of Philadelphia Major Citation for her health communications community programs and leadership role in the Latino community.
